Tea is one of the oldest and most-consumed beverages in the world.   It has been in continuous use by many cultures for over 5,000 years.   It is also a very sustainable and renewable resource.   Some Tea Trees are over 1,800 years old and are STILL producing high-quality Tea-leaves.   Many plantations or gardens are several hundred years old and still use the original bushes, others are newer and use cloned or graft-propagated copies of the original plants.   With proper care, judicious pruning and harvesting, tea plantations can be productive for centuries.

Many of our Teas are Certified Organic, some are Fair-Trade Certified, and all are Premium, High-Quality Teas.  

We are also one of the few companies in North America to be Certified by the Tea Board of Inda as dealers in Certified Darjeeling, Assam and Nilgiri Teas.  

What this means is that many of our Darjeelings, Assams and Nilgiris are 100% pure teas from the gardens, without the addition of any "filler" teas.   As an example, many of the teas sold as Darjeeling contain only a small amount of Darjeeling tea, the rest is Ceylon, Kenya or China Black.   Our Certified Teas are 100% Darjeeling, Assam or Nilgiri Tea from Certified Exporters and from Certified Gardens.
